To provide the detail design for a frame capable of supporting a 14"NB header for a heating system. Structural verification of the frame to be carried out and specification for the civil base to be calculated. Wind loads taken into account as installed outside.
The frame was modelled in 3D to prove the design and ensure a good fit with the header. It was designed with 2 end frames bolted to a cross member to enable easy transport and assembly. The structural frame was verified using FEA. The civil foundation pad was designed using Tekla Tedds.
Section sizes were kept to a minimum to keep costs down which was possible using FEA tools.
Ensuring the structural integrity and safety of lifting frames in
PME conducted structural analysis and weld strength verification for Simonstone Engineering's oven lifting frames, ensuring compliance with EN13155 and enhancing operational safety.
Comprehensive structural verification of a buried stainless pipe
We conducted structural verification of a 316 stainless steel buried pipe, calculating earth and surface loads, hoop stress, and ring buckling to ensure design reliability under varying conditions.
